Peach Gallery Sept 2010

Cynthia Underwood is a member of the Pastel Society of Colorado, Brush and Palette and Plein Air Artist Colorado . Recently Cynthia won “Best of Emerging Artist” in her first Competition in 2009 and the second show ever entered Fall Fest in Glenwood Springs she received 3rd place as an Advanced Artist. Her painting’s are usually landscapes from travels in the Western States; mostly Colorado, Utah and Arizona. Her paintings are vibrant and colorful. She also loves flowers and gardening so on occasion she paints still lives of her garden expressions, and loves to paint macro pictures of leaves.

Her art can be found in Corporate Collections, National Botanical Society, private collections in Aspen, Colorado, Salt Lake City, Utah, Lake Tahoe, NV, Houston, TX, Scottsdale and Tucson Arizona She has very limited additions of her Giclee’s (15 or less depending on the addition.,

She feels as an artist that it is the responsibility of the Artist to preserve their work and almost exclusively custom frames using all acid free techniques and high grades of conservation glass

August 2010 Adult Classes

Sculpture with Daphna Russell – Wednesdays July 28th – Aug 18th. 9am- 12pm –Beginners to Professional, will conclude with a potluck and raku firing. $80 + $25 clay.

Art Development and Education Workshops – with Mary Lou Morrison. Targeted audience; parents, daycare center teachers and pre-school teachers. Will be focusing on early creative education and doing it without spending a lot of money
August 3rd 9a-12p & 1:30p-3:30p Focusing on babies-3rd grade $30
August 5th 9a-12p Focusing on 4yrs old and up $20

Wet ‘n Wet Watercolor Workshop with Dani Tupper – Aug 14th 9:30am-4pm $65 Bring your enthusiasm and desire to explore! Materials list will be available at the Creamery front desk

Cheese Making with Kate Dunbar – August 21st 10am-12pm $15. This is a class for beginning cheese makers.

Summer Clay with David Strong – Wednesdays, 1p-3p $14 per class plus $25 per 25lbs of clay.

Clay Studio Lab with David Strong available – Tuesday afternoons, 1pm–3pm drop in, $14.

Stained Glass Quilt Pattern with Peggy Papon – August 26th, 27th and 28th. 11am-3pm $60 plus materials.

Last Saturday Fused Glass with Peggy Papon – August 28th Drop In between 11am and 3pm $20 + materials
