Downstairs on The Wall, Connie Willett displays more spring art from her last year’s trip to Alaska. Connie has been taking photographs all her life, but says she’s only been shooting seriously for about six years. Switching to digital, so much more economical than shooting film, has allowed her to experiment and take a lot of shots she wouldn’t have risked on film, resulting in some surprising photos. “You can take so many more candid photos with digital, and really capture the best
of people,” she says. “It’s fun. I want to save the moment if I can.” Her original photos on canvas
(giclee) in this show will include Moose Drool, the Gladiator (a musk ox), Mother and Child, Griz,
Does a Bear…, a panorama of Denali, and Peyto Lake in Banff National Forest.
