Classes at the Creamery Offer a Cure for the Winter Blues

Cabin fever got you down? Winter is the perfect time to take an art class! The Creamery Arts Center in Hotchkiss has some great classes coming up that you won’t want to miss. To register for any of these classes call the Creamery Arts Center at 970-872-4848.

    Creative Cartooning and Story Illustration for Grades 4 – 8 with Don Benjamin


    On Mondays: March 16, 23, & 30 and April 13  from 4 – 5:30pm ~ $48 for 4 classes includes all supplies. This class is designed to encourage students to expand their drawing skills through hands-on experience and guided practice. Subjects include: Basic Cartoon Technique, Creating Single-Panel and Strip Cartoons, and Illustrating Stories.

    Puppet Making and Puppeteering with Sandy Scheefer

    Special Spring Break Workshop!
    Wed. and Thurs. April 8th and 9th from 1-3pm plus a performance at 6pm on Friday, April 10th
    $24/2 classes – includes all supplies
    Students will create unique, pop-up puppets, learn puppeteering techniques, and divide into groups to create their own puppet shows which they will perform at the Art Opening on April 10th. For ages 6 and up.

    Saturdays: April 11, 18, 25 and May 2nd
    $125/4 classes plus clay – tools are provided
    This is an all levels class. Students will complete at least one fired piece during the class. Additional pieces may be raku fired at a later date.

    This class is for beginners to pros. Bring your own supplies or supplies may be available from instructor for a $10 material fee.  Be sure and mention that you are purchasing supplies from the instructor when you register.  Pre-payment is required.
